29: Texas Tech upset No. 3 Oklahoma as a 29-point underdog in 2011.

Texas Tech's upset win over No. 3 Oklahoma in 2011 has to go down as the most shocking win in program history.

The Red Raiders were significant, 29-point underdogs heading into the game. The Sooners, meanwhile, had won 39 games in a row at Owen Field.

The game got off to an inauspicious start, with kickoff delayed for over an hour and a half due to rain and lightning.

Once the game finally started, it didn't take long for the Red Raiders to get into gear. The two teams were tied 7-7 after the first quarter, but Seth Doege and the Texas Tech offense exploded for 17 points in the second quarter and then pushed their lead to 31-7 early in the second half. The Sooners came roaring back, but the Red Raiders managed to do just enough offensively to stay in front and secure a 41-38 victory.

Texas Tech's joy was relatively short-lived, as the team would go on to lose their final five games of the season and post the program's first losing season in nearly two decades.

Tomorrow: 28 - We look back at the most famous play in Texas Tech football history.
