Texas Tech's football rivalry with Texas A&M dates back to the earliest days of the program's history. While the series currently lies dormant, the Red Raiders have played the Aggies more than almost any other opponent.

It should therefore come as no surprise that the rivalry has produced a number of classic games.

Texas Tech's 48-47 overtime win in 2002 certainly ranks in that category.

Kliff Kingsbury and Wes Welker turned in career performances as Texas Tech rallied from an 18-point third-quarter deficit to defeat No. 23 Texas A&M in overtime.

The Red Raiders put up 544 yards of offense, ran 88 plays and logged 29 first downs against the Wrecking Crew. Kingsbury completed 83 percent of his passes and threw five touchdown passes. Welker accounted for a staggering 327 all-purpose yards, including an 88-yard punt return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter that gave Texas Tech its first lead of the game.

Tomorrow: 47 - We look back at a Red Raider victory that ignited a 12-game home winning streak.
