Three-star CB John Davis set to announce commitment

Three-star Euless Trinity cornerback John Davis is expected to announce his commitment to either Texas Tech or Kansas State on Monday night.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect visited Manhattan over the weekend and checked out Lubbock earlier in July.

Following Davis' visit to the South Plains, he said the Red Raiders "moved way up to number one" on his list.

"Number one, I felt comfortable for sure," he said. "They answered all of my questions, they answered my parents’ questions. It was like I was already there. It was like I was in college. I was watching film, I was talking to the coaches, I was in the weight room, everything. It just felt like the place to be. I was blown away, honestly. I felt really comfortable there."

Aside from Texas Tech and Kansas State, Davis also holds offers from Minnesota, Nevada, ULM, Utah and Tulane.
