Texas Tech announced on Thursday that former linebacker Zach Thomas will be enshrined in the football program's Ring of Honor. The induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, Oct. 22 before the Red Raiders' home game against the Oklahoma Sooners.

Thomas, a member of the College Football Hall of Fame, is one of the most decorated defensive players to ever suit up for Texas Tech. The Pampa, Texas product was a three-year starter for Spike Dykes' Red Raider program, a two-time first-team All-American and the 1995 Southwest Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
