Visitor reactions for FIU game

The Texas Tech coaches hosted a handful of recruits for the 54-21 win over Florida International. RedRaiderSports caught up with several of the players in attendance to get their thoughts on the day and more.

“The weekend was pretty good. I went up there for my mom to check it out, because she didn’t get to check it out whenever I went on the official visit.

I thought they played a really good game, they played really well on both sides of the ball.”

"It was fun, great game and environment. First time at the stadium.

(Me and the Tech coaches) have been talking since December, but I just met the coaches in person this weekend."

"I was able to chat with most of the coaches before and after the game. They were all very caring and encouraging about my injury and told me they’re excited for my recovery."

"A lot of positive energy from when I first stepped foot on the campus. Me and my family were treated as if I already attended the school. Great atmosphere, friendly people, and I loved the support of the fans at the game. Awesome game and great coaches!"

"I had a great time. I really enjoyed the facilities and atmosphere. The hospitality was awesome, everyone was welcoming and I had a great time in the stadium getting to take in the fans and the game.

I mainly talked with Coach Farmer. I interacted with several coaches throughout the night and they were all very positive and welcoming. I’m very early in this process so we just talked about my progression over the next few years of HS."

"Walking into the indoor field was pretty cool, made me wanna put pads on and start practicing on my own. It was also awesome to be on the field and see the players warm up and get ready for the game, almost wanted to go out there and just start playing. Talking to my guide was great, it felt like he was a close friend. It was nice talking to the coaches and getting to know how they see the game.

All in all the visit and the game was an incredible experience and I would do this again if I could and I could definitely call Texas Tech my home."

"It was an amazing experience and by far one the coolest atmospheres I have ever been a part of. The coaches there did an amazing job getting us involved in the game day experience.

My favorite part of the entire visit was when I got to talk to the players and you could tell that they are all about the team and treat each other like family, and that’s something that I have always wanted to be a part of."

"(The visit) was good. If they offer me I'm 1000% in.

I talked to a lot of coaches and their message was to keep grinding."

"I really enjoyed the visit from the start. I got to meet some of the coaches and the hospitality was amazing. They treated my mother and me incredibly well while giving us an amazing experience at my first Raiders game.

I was able to meet Coach Farmer, Luke Wells, Davidson, and Pehrson along with many GA’s. Their main message was that they liked my film and to continue working this season and continue to put my film out. They also told me to make it back out to another game this fall."
