Tuberville quits, heads to Ohio

Texas Tech head coach Tommy Tuberville has resigned as the university's head football coach.
Football spokesman Blayne Beal confirmed the news around noon Saturday.
Tuberville is expected to accept the head coaching position at Cincinnati after its head coach, Butch Jones, was introduced at Tennessee on Friday.
Through three years, Tuberville led the Red Raiders to a 20-17 overall appearance. He coached the Red Raiders to a 7-5 regular season record in 2010 plus a bowl victory, a 5-7 record in 2011 and had coached the squad back to a bowl game this season.
Tech is expected to make a statement at some point this afternoon.
