Texas Tech picked up a massive commitment on Monday night with the

addition of Rivals100 offensive lineman and Red Raider legacy Jack Anderson. The four-star prospect chose Texas Tech over offers from
Alabama, Baylor, Florida State, Georgia,
Texas A&M and dozens of other programs.

WHAT'S NEXT?:
Anderson is still 16 months away from signing with the Red Raiders, so in
many respects his recruitment is far from over. That being said, Anderson
is a legacy, has unofficially visited Texas Tech countless times and has already begun to focus on
recruiting other 2017 prospects to join him on the South Plains.
IN HIS WORDS:
"I mean, I always like to get to sit down and talk with coach (Lee) Hays, coach
(Trey) Haverty and coach (Kevin) Curtis, all those guys," Anderson
said in February.
"They make me feel at home, and I love to hang out in Lubbock. I have a lot of
friends and people on the team I talk to a lot."
OUR REACTION:
Texas Tech offensive line coach Lee Hays and the rest of the Red Raider staff
have been recruiting Anderson harder than almost any other player on their board
for well over a year now and the payoff came on Monday night. He's everything
Hays wants in an offensive lineman: nasty, physical, athletic and an extremely
high motor. This is a gigantic get for Texas Tech, and it could be the first big
domino towards a great 2017 class for the Red Raiders. -- RRS.com analyst Will McKay
