Texas Tech picked up it's first transfer portal addition to the secondary with the commitment of North Dakota State safety Cole Wisniewski.
An experienced and lengthy defensive back, Wisniewski is listed at 6-foot-4 and 218 pounds and possesses very strong athletic ability and arm length for the position.
Wisniewski was an excellent player for the Bison in 2023, but missed 2024 due to an injury. In 2023, Wisniewski posted 98 total tackles in 707 snaps while snagging eight interceptions and breaking up for passes on the year.
Wisniewski's 2023 campaign earned him an FCS All-American honor and a nod to the 2024 Senior Bowl Watchlist ahead of the season.
Wisniewski is expected to help fill the void of the departing CJ Baskerville from Tech's boundary safety position, the position that he played at North Dakota State in 2023, and will use his final season of eligibility with the Red Raiders.
