Five-star guard Trae Young, whose father Rayford played for Texas Tech in the 1990s, announced the finalists still alive in his recruitment on Wednesday.

Chris Beard and the Red Raiders made the cut.

In an interview with Rivals.com's Eric Bossi, the No. 14 prospect in the Rivals150 listed a final six of Kansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Washington.

Kansas, Kentucky and Oklahoma are widely considered to be the three front-runners for Young's commitment. The Red Raiders will get a chance to make a final push, however, as Young plans to visit each of his finalists before making a decision.
