Tech reaches out to top 2026 recruits on first day of allowable contact

When the calendar turned to June 15th, it meant college football coaches could directly message, text, DM and call rising juniors in the 2026 class.

Who did the Texas Tech coaches prioritize? Here are some of the prospects who heard from the Red Raiders on day 1.

We asked each recruit a simple question: "Which coaches reached out and what does it mean to you to be officially recruited by Tech?"

"It means a lot. Now we have more chances of building relationships"

"I’m very excited to be in contact with, and receive communication from Texas Tech football. Josh Cochran (TE coach) is who I’ve been speaking with and am excited to get to know him and all of the staff more. It means a lot, especially seeing the talent that they currently have on their TE roster. I also have a cousin (Mia Wesley) that just transferred to Texas Tech to play volleyball so excited to get out there to a game."
