Sullivan still talking to TTU

Even with eight defensive linemen committed for the 2016 class, it is still within the realm of possibility that the Tech coaches are looking to maybe take one to two more DL in this class if the fit is right. One d-lineman who is still on Tech's board is Houston (Texas) Aldine Davis defensive end Keith Sullivan. Sullivan was offered by the Red Raiders back in May when DL coach Mike Smith was in attendance for a practice, and the six-foot-seven defender has been in contact with the school ever since.

WHAT'S NEXT?:
On the field, Sullivan and his Aldine Davis squad sit at 2-3 and are looking to break even against rival Houston Aldine. Sullivan is spending this year continuing to work on his technique, pad-level, and continued explosiveness as he anchors the DL for Aldine Davis.
On the recruiting trail, Sullivan is continuing to receive interest from schools like Boise State, Houston, UTSA, Iowa State, and Texas Tech and is doing his best to manage the interest from each school. Visits are in the works for the two-star recruit, and a Tech official visit is definitely a possibility, if the two parties' schedules match up.
IN HIS WORDS:
"Coach Curtis DMed me after their loss to TCU and told me about the game. I talk to Coach Curtis about every other day. Coach Smith reaches out to me from time-to-time as well," he said. "I really like Coach Smith and how he coaches the d-line. He likes how I can use my hands and my arms, and he likes my pursuit all over the field. I never give up on a play, and I make sure that I am always following the ball."
OUR REACTION:
The Red Raiders appear to be keeping their options on the table with a number of defensive linemen, despite the big class already assembled in the trenches. Sullivan is certainly one of the top prospects still on the board, and the continued line of constant communication is indicative of what the Tech staff thinks of the long defender. - Will McKay
