Stidham has dream come true as UA All-American

The Under Armour All-America game is sending representatives across the country to present jerseys to the participants in the 2015 game in January, and Stephenville (Texas) Rivals100 four-star quarterback and Texas Tech commit Jarrett Stidham received the honor on Thursday morning.
The future Red Raider signal caller was ecstatic to earn his jersey and be a part of the ceremony, as the event was a culmination of the hard work and dedication he's put in over his football career.

"It's like a dream come true. Growing up as a kid, you always see these guys as high school seniors playing in these All-American games, and you want to be one of them. Now, I've gotten the chance to actually be one, so it's like a dream come true, and it's just another goal of mine that I've accomplished."
The game is now less than two months away, and Stidham is excited to see many of his friends and elite prospects, including Honolulu (Hawaii) Farrington Rivals250 four-star defensive tackle and fellow Texas Tech commit Breiden Fehoko.
"It's gonna be fun, which me and Breiden already have a pretty good relationship already, and hopefully we get on the same. But, it's going to be fun just hanging out with the guys, cause we're all there for a reason, to play football and whatnot, but it's going to be a good time, and this is going to kind of be the last time the top players in the country for our class are going to be together, so it's going to be fun. I'm just going to soak it all in, hang out with the guys, and just enjoy the experience."
In fact, he may be playing against many of his Under Armour teammates, including the several Big 12 commits like Miramar (Florida) West Virginia pledge and corner Tyrek Cole or Rockwall (Texas) Heath safety and Texas commit DeShon Elliott.
It'll be a short turn around for Stidham, too, as he'll be enrolling at Texas Tech only days after the game and will go through spring football with the Red Raiders.
"It's kind of crazy. Once I get back from Florida on the 3rd, I think I go up (to Texas Tech) on the 5th or6th, start moving in and stuff, and it's just kind of a whirlwind after that with spring ball, the summer, and the fall. Who know knows what's going to happen after that. It is kind of our last chance to be together, and then I may be playing against, hopefully be playing against some of them, next fall."
Overall, the Stephenville gunslinger couldn't be happier to be an Under Armour All-American and get a chance to play quarterback in one of the most prestigious all-star games in the country.
"This was, like I said, a dream come true today. I've grown up my whole life wanting to be an All-American, so very blessed and thankful that I'm getting the opportunity to do it."
Stidham committed to Texas Tech in March over offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Baylor, Kentucky, Miami, Ole Miss, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas, and Texas A&M.
