Football isn't the only reason that Rhodes chose Tech. Getting a good education is paramount for the tailback, and he feels he has an excellent opportunity to excel in Lubbock.
"It's a really good school," he said. "They have the number one graduation rate in the Big 12, so they really sold me on that. Education is mainly the reason why I committed there."
Offensive coordinator Neal Brown's offense is a good fit for Rhodes as well. He likes the way the Red Raiders move the ball and feels at home in Tech's backfield.
"I really like the way they run their offense," Rhodes said. "It's a good spread kind of offense that is just the perfect fit for me."

They were very excited (when I committed," said the running back. "Coach Scott, he's just a really cool guy. He's very funny, down to earth, and he's straightforward. Like I said, he doesn't sugarcoat anything."
