Welcome to this week's edition of The Recruiting Six Pack. National Signing Day came and went, and now the class of 2025 is up. The Texas Tech Red Raiders finished with the #24 class in the nation and #1 in the Big 12. Now head coach Joey McGuire, general manager James Blanchard, and the staff will focus on 2025 and beyond. With that said, let's look at some of the latest Red Raider recruiting targets.
2025 Red Raider targets
Daeshon Morgan. 2025 strongside defensive end, Austin, Texas. (Vandegrift HS). Not ranked by Rivals.
The Red Raiders offered 2025 Austin (TX) Vandegrift High School defensive end Daeshon Morgan on February 8. "The process is going great. It's all a blessing from the Lord, and I feel my hard work is finally paying off. So that pushes me to work harder. Getting an offer from Tech was a huge blessing, being that it's in Texas, and I'm closer to family," Morgan said. He also has offers from Arizona State, Arkansas State, California, North Texas, UTEP, and UTSA. In 2023, he finished with 34 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and 6 sacks in 11 games for the Vipers, per his MaxPreps page. As a result, Morgan was named a District 25-6A First Team All-District selection.
Jasper Parker. 2025 running back, Marrero, Louisiana. (Archbishop Shaw HS). Not ranked by Rivals.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders offered 2025 Marrero (LA) Archbishop Shaw High School running back Jasper Parker on January 24. He recently picked up an offer from Auburn. Parker also has offers from Arkansas, Arkansas State, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Houston, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Penn State, SMU, Texas A&M, Tulane, and USC.
2026 Red Raider targets
Noah Best. 2026 offensive guard, Midlothian, Texas. (Midlothian HS). Not ranked by Rivals.
The Red Raiders offered 2026 Midlothian (TX) High School offensive lineman Noah Best on January 25. The offer was the first for the offensive guard, who was a unanimous District 4-5A DI 1st-Team All-District selection in 2023 for the Panthers.
Tiesen Ejiawoko. 2026 weakside defensive end, Georgetown, Texas. (East View HS). Not ranked by Rivals.
Texas Tech offered 2026 Georgetown (TX) East View High School weakside defensive end Tiesen Ejiawoko on January 31. I asked him his thoughts on receiving an offer from the Red Raiders. "If I had to describe getting the offer from Texas Tech, I would say that it meant a lot being offered by the head coach himself. I'm forever grateful and appreciative that Coach McGuire believes in me and gave me an opportunity," he said. Ejiawoko has offers from Bethune-Cookman, Connecticut, Houston, UNLV, and Washington State and has visited Arizona and Texas. He was named the District 11-5A Newcomer of the Year.
Bott Mulitalo II. 2026 strongside defensive end, Highland, Utah. (Lone Peak HS). Not ranked by Rivals.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders offered 2026 Highland (UT) Lone Peak High School strongside defensive end Bott Mulitalo II. He recently added an offer from UNLV. Mulitalo II also has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, Iowa State, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Washington, and Washington State. In 2023, he finished with 34 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, 3 quarterback hurries, and a pass defended for the Knights in six games for the Knights, per his MaxPreps page.
Nelson Peterson Jr. 2026 dual-threat quarterback, Sunnyvale, Texas. (Sunnyvale HS). Not ranked by Rivals.
The Red Raiders offered 2026 Sunnyvale (TX) High School quarterback Nelson Peterson Jr. on February 8, which was his first offer. I asked him about the recruiting process and offer. "The recruiting process is going well for me so far, and I'm excited and blessed to be offered by Texas Tech," Peterson said. In 2023, he finished with 1,167 yards passing and 15 touchdowns and added 648 rushing yards and 10 more on the ground in 12 games for the Raiders, per his MaxPreps page. Peterson also plays on the Raiders basketball team.
2027 Red Raider targets
Jakoby Dixon. 2027 running back, Brenham, Texas. (Brenham HS). Not ranked by Rivals.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders offered 2027 Brenham (TX) High School running back Jakoby Dixon on February 1. I asked him how his recruitment was going and what it meant to him receiving an offer from Texas Tech. "This recruiting process is amazing. I'm truly blessed and thankful for the Tech offer because it was my dream school growing up when I was a kid," he said. Dixon also has offers from Arkansas State, Houston, SMU, Texas State, Tulsa, and UTSA. In 2023, he finished with 1181 yards rushing and 14 touchdowns, 34 receptions for 502 yards, and five touchdowns in 11 games for the Cubs, per his MaxPreps page.
Semaj Stanford. 2027 athlete, Jenks, Oklahoma. (Jenks HS). Not ranked by Rivals.
Texas Tech offered 2027 Jenks (OK) High School athlete Semaj Stanford on February 1. It was his latest one, as he already holds offers from Arkansas, Houston, Oklahoma State, and Tulsa. Stanford helped lead the Trojans to the Oklahoma 6A-1 state championship game.
