THE DETAILS

School: Carrolton (Texas) Ranchview

Height: 6'5"

Weight: 245 Lbs

Offers: Texas Tech, Baylor, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Houston, SMU, Tulsa, UTSA, and Colorado State

Interest: Oklahoma, Oregon, Ole Miss, TCU, Arkansas, BYU, Duke, Purdue, Missouri, Kansas State, Kansas, and Tulane

Odeyingbo is a prospect that could potentially blow up in the coming month or so. He's had a whole boatload of schools stop by and get a look at him in the last week, inlcluding the Red Raiders, who extended an offer last Wednesday via defensive line coach Kevin Patrick.

Odeyingbo on his Tech offer:

“I was excited, I was really excited. It was a surprise to get an offer from such a big school with tradition like they have. It’s a great program in general and have always been a big program in Texas. Growing up I would always here ‘Tech this’ or ‘Tech that.’ It is crazy to actually now have the chance to maybe play for them.”

He also plays defensive end, linebacker, tight end, and offensive line for Ranchview. He's a jack-of-all-trades player because of his natural abilities, and a whole lot of schools are certainly intrigued.

EVALUATION

You can never argue with measurables, which Odeyingbo certainly has. He's six-five, long, surprisingly athletic, and seeing as he's already at 245, you can tell by the way he looks that he's certainly going to grow into a specimen at the next level if he gets after it in the weight room. You take prospects like this without even necessarily talking about where they might play simply because of the tools they're gifted with.

He's the prototype for what Texas Tech is looking at in a rush end, as he can get down on the line, can stand up off the edge, or can back up into coverage when needed. A whole lot of raw potential here with Odeyingbo.

WHERE DOES TECH STAND?

It's still very early on in the process for Odeyingbo, who is just now truly scratching the surface of what his recruitment very likely might turn into. He's visited Baylor already, and he plans to go back, so the Bears certainly jumped out early and look to be in good position.

However, with defensive line coach Kevin Patrick - a guy with skins on the wall as a recruiter, a talent developer, and hall of famer at Miami - on the trail, the Red Raiders certainly have to like their chances of legitimately getting into the race for Odeyingbo.
