Porter set to announce on Wednesday

With his list of finalists narrowed down to Oklahoma State and Texas Tech, Midwest City (OK) Carl Alberts cornerback Tre'Vante Porter is scheduled to announce his college decision at a Wednesday press conference.
"It's going to be at 11 o'clock," said Porter. "It's going to be at the big gym, in the lobby. It's called the field house, it has a big 'C-A' in front of it. It's going to be in the gym lobby

"I'm just going to have OSU and Texas Tech hats out, or shirts, whatever and choose which one."
Though Porter also holds offers from programs like Arizona, Kansas, Kansas State and Nebraska, he cited a family-like atmosphere as the biggest reasons he is still considering the Cowboys and Red Raiders.
"Texas Tech has a good academic program," he told RedRaiderSports.com last week. "Their alumni base is very strong. Their coaching staff seems like a family, rather than just some coaches that are together just because. It seems like they want to be together, they're around each other all of the time. The coaching staff has a positive attitude about everything."
Porter feels the same way about his other finalist.
"Oklahoma State is close to home," he said during that same conversation. "You've always got to love that it's close to home. Their facilities are great, the coaching staff is good and they really care about their players it seems like."
Rivals.com ranks Porter as the ninth-best 2010 prospect in the state of Oklahoma.
