Snapshot: Texas Tech was the first team to offer Johnson. The 2018 standout impressed the Red Raider coaching staff at the program's satellite camp earlier this summer at Duncanville High School. Five minutes after sharing news of his Texas Tech offer on Twitter, Johnson announced his commitment to the Red Raiders.

Snapshot: This is an interesting offer for the Red Raiders, as the program has not been especially active in Florida so far in the 2017 recruiting cycle. McDougle committed to Washington State in June, so it will be interesting to see if Texas Tech can convince him to take an official to the South Plains this fall.
