Mark Adams named head coach at Texas Tech

Texas Tech Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt made it official on Monday night announcing Mark Adams as the next head coach at Texas Tech.

Adams was an assistant under former coach Chris Beard for five seasons.

The defensive guru has 23 years of head coaching experience in the JUCO ranks and has a record of 554-244.
