Houston Miller may be a true freshman, but he pulled a veteran move Monday as Texas Tech prepared to open preseason camp.

Instead of returning to his dorm room to sleep between stints at the Red Raiders' training facility, Miller decided to maximize his rest time by bringing an inflatable mattress to the locker room.

Miller, a former three-star prospect, signed with Texas Tech in February over offers from Boston College, Cal, Colorado, Duke, Iowa, Minnesota and others.

Texas Tech opens its 2016 football season on Sept. 3 against Stephen F. Austin.
