Four-star DE deciding soon

With signing day now less than two months away, several high quality prospects

remain uncommitted, including Texas Tech defensive end target
Marvin Terry of South Oak Cliff.
WHAT'S NEXT?:
Texas Tech was the first school to offer Terry and has been recruiting the 6-foot-3, 230-pounder since his sophomore year and Oklahoma State got into the picture about a month afterwards. Those two programs and the Missouri Tigers round out his top three. Working in the Red Raiders favor is former South Oak Cliff head coach Emmett Jones who joined the Texas Tech staff after last season and has known Terry for some time. Having already been to Texas Tech and Oklahoma State, Terry said he plans to visit Missouri this weekend and make a decision immediately afterward when his plane touches back down and he talks to his coaches. The four-star maintains that all three schools are equal, but hinted that Missouri could be the team to beat. Also, between his Tech and Oklahoma State visits, Terry said he liked Tech better
-- "just the atmosphere, it felt like home."
IN HIS WORDS:
"(Coach Jones and I) have a strong relationship. It doesn't matter what the situation is, we can always talk about it and always keep it real with each other. It's more than a coach-athlete type relationship. He's more of a father figure, yet he can turn up with you at times too."
... "I have friends committed to Texas Tech -- Clarence (Henderson), Big Joe (Wallace) and Da'Leon Ward."
...
"I've been to Texas Tech, I know what they can do. I've been to OSU. I know what we can all do on one team. I know what Missouri is like, really it could go any way."
OUR REACTION:
To say that Texas Tech needs immediate help on the defensive line would be a
huge understatement. The Red Raiders are going to be y-o-u-n-g on defense in
2016, especially in the front seven. Terry would have an opportunity to play
from day one and potentially, like Breiden Fehoko, start as a true
freshman. -- Aaron Dickens
