Davis and Jones propel Trinity to big win

Results: Trinity defeats Flower Mound 41-7

Recap: Davis and Jones played lockdown defense all night as they held Flower Mound to just 214 yards of total offense. 126 yards came through the air on 19 of 37 passing and Trinity only allowed 3.5 yards per carry on 25 carries.

Next week: Trinity (6-3) vs. Flower Mound Marcus (5-4)

Hackett's big night not enough for Rayburn in close loss

Results: Rayburn drops contest to Pasadena South Houston 28-23

Recap: Hackett led the way on the ground and through the air accounting for 214 total yards and two touchdowns. Hackett rushed 24 times for 166 yards and a touchdown with another two receptions for 48 yards and a touchdown. Hackett also had a fumble recovery touchdown in the endzone that pulled Rayburn within five.

Next week: Rayburn (1-8) vs. Pasadena (0-9)

Frisco grinds out win behind Anderson and Deaton

Results: Frisco defeats Frisco Liberty 21-9

Recap: Frisco rushed for 284 yards on 48 carries and amassed 350 yards of total offense on the night. Frisco struggled to find their groove in the first quarter but settled down to find the endzone in each of the next three quarters.

Next week: Frisco (7-2) vs. Frisco Wakeland (6-3)

Jeffers' big night propels Sachse to victory

Results: Sachse shuts out Naaman Forest 28-0

Recap: Jeffers posted 13 total tackles on the night with one tackle for loss and one QB hurry. Also helped lead the Sachse defense to a shutout and limited Naaman Forest to 145 yards of offense and only six first downs.

Next week: Sachse (9-0) vs. South Garland (0-9)

Beck and the George Ranch defense stand tall in win

Results: George Ranch defeated Alief Elsik 36-9

Recap: Beck and the defense had a great night limiting Elsik to 112 total yards and six first downs. Beck and the secondary held Elsik to 5 of 18 passing for only 55 yards with three INTs from three different QBs. They also limited Elsik to only seven points (two points were scored on a blocked PAT).

Next week: George Ranch (5-4) vs. Alief Taylor (9-0)

Martin's two touchdowns lead Steele to victory

Results: Steele defeated Wagner 40-28

Recap: Martin had an off night passing going 10 of 18 for 95 yards with an INT. He found some room on the ground, however, rushing 11 times for 27 yards and two touchdowns (from six and 14 yards out).

Next week: Steele (8-1) vs. Schertz Clemens (5-4)

Travis takes the loss despite offensive effort

Results: Travis falls to Hightower 59-38

Recap: Travis outgained Hightower 548 to 481 on offense and were within a touchdown with less than five minutes to go in the third quarter. Hightower shut down the Travis offense in the final quarter and a half and scored 21 unanswered points to put the game out of reach. Travis had 269 yards rushing and 279 yards passing with 30 first downs.

Johnson contributes to big win

Results: Giddings defeats La Grange 45-13

Recap: Johnson caught two passes for 26 yards in the win

Addison, Angleton, have no answer for Richmond Foster

Results: Angleton falls to Richmond Foster 35-14

Recap: Foster racked up 413 yards of total offense against a usually stout Angleton defense. The defense did force two turnovers, however, including an INT.

Douglas goes off in Ryan's big win

Results: Denton Ryan dominated Denison 41-14

Recap: Douglas caught seven passes for 181 yards (26 yards per catch) and three touchdowns.

Frye, Eisenhower, suffer big loss versus Westfield

Results: Eisenhower falls to Westfield 51-7

Recap: Box score was not made available for this game

Robinson bottled up in loss

Results: Paschal falls to Arlington Lamar 48-9

Recap: Robinson was held to 3 of 9 passing for 29 yards, 29 yards rushing on seven carries, and one reception for no yards.

Dylan Weaver (knee), Casey Verhulst (knee), and Bronson Boyd (shoulder) are out for the season due to knee injuries. Tyree Range did not play in Riverside's 29-22 win against El Camino. Why he did not play is unknown.
