Texas Tech landed it's fourth defensive back commitment of the week in Huntsville DB Isaiah Collins who chose the Red Raiders over Utah and Baylor, notably.

Strong Field Sense
Collins, albeit at safety on this play, does well to read the quarterback and make a play on the ball. He showed this ability numerous times in his junior season highlight tape but this play stood out.
Flashing his athleticism, Collins used his large frame to break up this catch near the sideline.
Speed, Speed & More Speed
Something that has become a recurring theme for any and all Texas Tech recruits under Joey McGuire, extreme and noticeable speed.
Collins does well on this play to turn on the jets at midfield and get to the sideline to save a touchdown.
Strong Tackler
Something that was extremely noticeable when watching Collins tape was his tackling ability and in these two plays, it is very evident that his tackling fundamentals are strong.
This was a very impactful play from Collins, forcing the fumble after recognizing the run play with haste.
He read the runners move correctly and laid a very strong hit that jarred it loose.
This was another strong play from Collins who made a strong and fundamental tackle after reading the checkdown well.
