Baseball Recruiting Update: Jamaal Hamilton
Texas Tech baseball recruit and Monterey High School star Jamaal Hamilton has an extremely tough decision to make. Hamilton was drafted in the ninth round by the L.A. Dodgers and has also signed a letter of intent to play for Larry Hays.
He hasn’t made a decision yet, but he is getting advice from just about everyone willing to give it.

Hamilton’s parents want him to pass on the Dodgers contract offer and attend Texas Tech in the fall. They feel very passionate about Red Raider baseball coach Larry Hays.
“We just love Coach Hays,” said Hamilton’s mother. “We know that Jamaal would be in good hands with Coach Hays.”
Hamilton and the Dodgers are negotiating what the baseball club can offer the young pitcher.
Hamilton’s mother said that a final decision could be made in a week, but it could also be longer.
“Jamaal wants to make his decision soon, but he has a lot to think about before he makes it.”
