The coaching staff hosted a handful of unofficial visitors for the game against Stephen F. Austin this weekend.
Frisco offensive lineman and longtime Texas Tech commitment Jack Anderson made another trip to the South Plains for the game.
"Lubbock was great as always," Anderson said. "The game was very long though, it seemed to keep going on forever. It was me, Dawson (Deaton), and Will (Farrar). My favorite part was just getting to see Texas Tech football again, it had been so long.
"It's always good see my guys, spend time with guys like Will Farrar and seeing the coaches. Coach Kingsbury was telling me not to box anybody at my game whenever he comes to Frisco (laughs)."
Anderson also shared his thoughts on the game and performance from the Red Raiders.
"I heard Coach Kingsbury mention they played 'streetball' a little bit," Anderson said. "It wasn't as clean as it should have been, but I thought Pat (Mahomes) did his thing and played very well. The defense played much better and the defensive line made me smile, it's been a long time since the line played that well. I was worried when Pipkins went down with that cramp, my man cannot be hurt."
The standout prospect has visited Lubbock numerous times, but noticed the progress being made on the new indoor practice facility on campus.
"The stadium looks great, all of the new updates add a much bigger feel," Anderson said. "The ground for the indoor facility looks like it should be done before everyone gets there from the 2017 recruiting class."
Rated a 5.8 four-star prospect, Anderson is rated as the No. 198 prospect in the nation and the No. 4 overall offensive center prospect in the nation. Frisco will face Woodrow Wilson this Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.
