The annual Under Armour Dallas camp always brings the local stars out to compete, and that was no different this year with the event being held at Melissa HS.
One of the promising younger prospects to show out was 2027 Richardson offensive tackle Jasper Ngokwere.
Ngokwere checks in at an imposing 6-foot-6, 290 pounds and already holds 14 FBS offers to his name following his sophomore season. One of those offers came from Texas Tech and wide receivers coach Juice Johnson. Johnson, of course, played his own HS ball at Richardson Berkner HS and still has plenty of connections in the area.
RedRaiderSports was on site at the UA Camp and caught up with Ngokwere for the latest in his recruitment.
What you need to know...
... Ngokwere holds 14 offers to date. His first offer was from San Diego State with his latest offer being from Georgia Tech. The Red Raiders were his fifth overall offer back in May 2024.
... Ngokwere helped Richardson to a 7-5 record in 2024.
... Ngokwere also plays basketball for Richardson
Competing at Under Armour Camp: "I feel like I did pretty good. I've been in basketball so I haven't been able to get all the work on my quick step and my stance but I feel like I came up here and I played pretty good against some good competition."
Overall recruitment: "It's been going fast and crazy but I'm getting used to it now. It's been a good experience so far."
Texas Tech offer: 'It means a lot because it's in Texas and I was born in Texas. I went to their game against TCU and they played pretty good. I like the way that they play and their game style. I like the school there."
Plans to visit Lubbock: "Yeah I could. I could see myself going there for a visit or go up on campus."
Schools standing out early: "Probably LSU. It's a big school and a very popular school. So it's good to see.
A&M too. It's a very big school, it's in Texas too. I got to up there so it's been very good."
What he's looking for in a program: "I'm looking for a good play style, to have good coaches, coaches I can get along with and bond with and teammates I can bond with. A very good campus too, very educated."
