The Recruiting Six-Pack: Red Raiders pick up three commitments

The Texas Tech Red Raiders defeated the UCF Knights 24-23 on Saturday at The Jones to become bowl-eligible for the third consecutive season. Texas Tech (6-5, 5-3) will now get ready for its season finale on Friday night against the #7 Texas Longhorns (10-1, 7-1) in Austin. TTU won on the field and has also been winning off it, as they have picked up three commitments this week. Recruiting is going well and is on fire right now for the Red Raiders. With that in mind, let's take a closer look at what is happening there.

Texas Tech commits

Danny Saili. Defensive tackle, Hutchinson, Kansas. (Hutchinson Community College). 5.5, three-star DT, #27 nationally.

On Tuesday afternoon, Hutchinson Community College defensive tackle Danny Saili committed to the Red Raiders. He chose Texas Tech over offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Houston, Miami (FL), and North Carolina State among others. Saili was in Lubbock over the weekend for the Red Raider's big win over UCF. He becomes the 21st commit for the Red Raiders class, currently ranked #24 nationally and third in the Big 12 behind Texas and Oklahoma.

Ramonz Adams. 2025 athlete, Smithville, Texas. (Smithville HS). Not ranked by Rivals.

Smithville athlete Ramonz Adams committed to the Red Raiders on Sunday night. He was in Lubbock this weekend for the big win over UCF. Adams, who was offered on November 12, was the fifth commit for the Red Raiders' 2025 class.

Leyton Stone. 2025 wide receiver, Wolfforth, Texas. (Frenship HS). 5.6, three-star.

Wollforth (Frenship) wide receiver Leyton Stone will stay close to home and play college football for the Red Raiders. He committed to Texas Tech on November 21, choosing the Red Raiders over offers from Arizona, Baylor, and Texas State. Stone is the sixth commit for the Red Raiders 2025 class, ranked # 25 overall.

Texas Tech 2025 targets

Jayden Woods. 2025 weakside defensive end. Shawnee, Kansas. (Mill Valley HS). 5.8 four-star WDE, and #3 in KS.

TTU offered Shawnee (KS) Mill Valley weakside defensive end Jayden Woods on November 8. This was his latest offer, as he holds over 20, including Alabama, Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, LSU, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, Tennessee, and USC, among others. Purdue and Kansas State are teams to watch here.

Texas Tech 2026 targets

Adam Auston. 2026 athlete, Lawton, Oklahoma. (MacArthur HS). Not ranked by Rivals.

Adam Auston received an offer from Texas Tech on November 17. It was the Lawton (OK) MacArthur athlete's fourth offer. He also has offers from North Texas, UNLV, Vanderbilt, and Houston. Auston has visited TCU and was also in Lubbock back in October for the Kansas State game.

Kosi Okpala. 2026 outside linebacker, Houston, Texas. (Mayde Creek HS). Not ranked by Rivals.

Houston (Mayde Creek) outside linebacker Kosi Okpala received his first offer from Texas Tech on November 14. For the season, he finished with 66 tackles with 12 for a loss, two sacks, and one forced fumble for the Rams, per his MaxPreps page.
