Texas Tech football will be on the road for the second straight week to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers. Other Tech sports are getting back on the court/field this week. Here is a look at what was trending in Texas Tech this week.

On Monday night Texas Tech police officer Floyd East Jr. was shot and killed. The next day several Tech coaches offered their condolences to his family. Jones AT&T Stadium was also lite blue on Tuesday night with a banner honoring him.

The road back to the postseason has officially started for Red Raider baseball. Head coach Tim Tadlock and company were back on the diamond this week for fall practices.

Texas Tech volleyball fell to Kansas State on the road this past Saturday 3 sets to 2. The team will be looking to bounce back Saturday when they host TCU. The match is set begin at 1 P.M.

Texas Tech soccer will be looking to bounce back as well when they host No. 25 Oklahoma State at home tonight. The team is currently 8-5-1 overall and 1-3-1 in Big 12 play. The game against the Cowboys is set for 6 P.M. and can be seen live on Fox Sports Net.
