Texas Tech football is preparing for their final home game against TCU while men's and women's basketball have been in action this week as well. Volleyball is also trying to close out their season strong. Here is a look at what was trending on the South Plains this week.

Basketball season is here and both Texas Tech teams had a good week. After winning on opening night last Friday, Red Raider basketball dominated Maine to start 2-0 on the year as they prepare to face Boston College for their first road game. After losing their opener this past Sunday, Lady Raider basketball got their first win of the season against Florida A&M in their annual Education Day game. They will face Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Sunday at 2 P.M.

Tony Graystone and the Red Raiders swept TCU in Fort Worth to secure the program's first winning season since 2001. This marked their second win over the Horned Frogs this season, having beaten them at home earlier in the year. The team currently sits at 15-12 overall, 4-10 in Big 12 play and will play their final home match tonight against Kansas at 6 P.M.
