Jerand Bradley is one of the top wide receivers in the state of Texas for the Class of 2021, and as we shift our focus to a new recruiting cycle he is ready to unveil his commitment.

The big-bodied three-star wide receiver from Plano (Texas) John Paul II pledged to Texas Tech on Monday, choosing the Red Raiders over Colorado, Kansas, Iowa State and Arkansas, among others.

Bradley is the third member of Texas Tech's 2021 recruiting class, joining fellow Lone Star State products in quarterback Behren Morton and athlete Cale Sanders Jr.

IN HIS OWN WORDS

"Texas Tech is making me a priority and doing their best to make me a Red Raider and they’ve been recruiting me hard since Day 1. No fake love at all."

"Texas Tech is a great fit because they have a great education system and they use guys with my size very well."

"Coach Matt Wells, Coach (Joel) Filani, and Coach (DeAndre) Smith. They’ve been trying to get me on board ever since they offered me. And Coach Filani, being my position coach, I talk to him a lot and I feel very comfortable with talking to him about anything. Same with Coach Wells and Coach Smith."

"They’ve been recruiting me hard because they wanted to take in one receiver and they wanted it to be me. It was an easy decision because Texas Tech is close to home and they’ve been straight up with me throughout this whole process. No lies or fake love."

"They’ve made me a priority by telling me they wanted me to be their guy. Their one receiver and showing lots of love to my family. I felt like a needed man in Lubbock because each visit I had was great, I liked everything about the campus, and I feel that I can be a big part of this team."

RIVALS REACTION

Bradley has outstanding size (6-foot-5, 190 pounds) and will be an even more physically impressive pass-catcher once he arrives in Lubbock and can get going in the strength and conditioning program.

Bradley has good hands and decent twitch for a receiver of his size. He uses his frame to his advantage, out-physicaling and boxing out defensive backs. Again, Bradley has impressive speed for a big-bodied wide receiver and moves well laterally. He's constantly improving as a route-runner, learning how to explode in and out of his breaks and get a clean release off the line of scrimmage.

In Bradley, Texas Tech is getting a potential-laden pass-catcher that can be physical moving the chains as a possession receiver that can also stretch the field vertically.
