The Red Raider Recruiting Roundup: The Latest Texas Tech offers

Welcome to this week's edition of The Red Raider Recruiting Roundup. The Texas Tech Red Raiders are coming off Early Signing Day, where they ended up with the #23 class nationally and currently have the #8 Transfer Portal Class. With the 2024 class pretty much done, the Red Raider staff has its eyes set on 2025 and beyond, with five new targets announcing their offers on Christmas Day. Let's look at some of the newest targets and offers.

2025 Red Raider targets

Keylan Abrams. 2025 weakside defensive end, DeSoto, Texas. (DeSoto HS). 5.7 three-star, #20 WDE, and #60 in Texas.

The Red Raiders offered 2025 DeSoto weakside defensive end Keylan Abrams on December 21. He committed to Purdue in June and has offers from Bowling Green, Fresno State, Nebraska, North Texas, and Texas A&M-Commerce. He helped lead the Eagles to their second consecutive Class 6A-Division II state championship and was named to the District 11-6A First Team this season. Per his MaxPreps page, he finished 2023 with 87 tackles, 21 TFL, 21.5 sacks, and one interception.

Michael Henderson III. 2025 athlete, Wylie, Texas. (East HS). Not ranked by Rivals.

The Red Raiders offered 2025 Wylie East HS athlete Michael Henderson III on Christmas Day. The offer was his fourth, as he holds offers from Mississippi Valley State, Montana State, and Texas State. This season, he was a District 9-6A First-Team selection and finished with 78 carries for 657 yards rushing, 11 touchdowns, and eight receptions for 104 yards and two touchdowns. On the defensive side of the ball, he had 37 tackles, two TFL, and two interceptions, per MaxPreps.

Eythan Thompson. 2025 offensive tackle, Waco, Texas. (La Vega HS). Not ranked by Rivals.

The Red Raiders offered 2025 La Cueva HS offensive tackle Eythan Thompson on Christmas Day. He also has offers from Montana State and Texas A&M-Commerce.

2026 Red Raider targets

Tatum Bell II. 2026 wide receiver, Frisco, Texas. (Heritage HS). Not ranked by Rivals.

2026 Frisco Heritage wide receiver Tatum Bell II was another recruit the Red Raiders offered on Christmas Day. The offer was his first, and he is the son of former Oklahoma State Cowboys running back Tatum Bell Sr.. He was named to the District 6-5A First Team after finishing the season with 50 receptions for 647 yards and seven touchdowns, or the Coyotes per MaxPreps.

David Brewer IV. 2026 wide receiver, Richmond, Texas. (Travis HS). Not ranked by Rivals.

The Red Raiders offered 2026 Richmond (TX) Travis HS wide receiver David Brewer IV on December 27. The offer was his first. This season, he was named First-Team All-District, the Newcomer of the Year, and the Tigers' Team Offensive MVP.

Brandon Ford. 2026 athlete, Crowley, Texas. (Crowley HS). Not ranked by Rivals.

The Red Raiders continued the offers on Christmas Day when 2026 Crowley athlete Brandon Ford picked his up. He also has offers from Arizona State, Buffalo, Connecticut, Grambling State, Texas State, and UTEP. Per MaxPreps, he finished 2023 with 17 tackles and one interception in five games for the Eagles.

Tyler Hagler. 2026 defensive tackle, Gilmer, Texas. (Gilmer HS). Not ranked by Rivals.

The Red Raiders also offered 2026 Gilmer HS defensive tackle Tyler Hagler on Christmas Day. The offer was the third for him as he already holds from UTSA and UTEP. Hagler helped lead the Buckeyes to the Class 4A Divison II state championship and finished the season with 101 tackles, 15 TFL, 25 hurries, and three sacks, per MaxPreps.

Pupungatoa Katoa. 2026 offensive lineman, Euless, Texas. (Trinity HS). Not ranked by Rivals.

Pupungatoa Katoa, a 2026 offensive lineman from Euless Trinity, was also offered on Christmas day. He also has offers from Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas State, and Utah State.


Wayne Shanks Jr. 2027 athlete, Cypress, Texas. (Cypress Woods HS). Not ranked by Rivals.

Cypress Woods HS 2027 athlete Wayne Shanks Jr. picked up his first offer from the Red Raiders on Christmas Day. This season, he rushed for 714 yards and two touchdowns and added 13 receptions for 233 yards and six touchdowns for the Wildcats, per MaxPreps.

Braylon Williams. 2027 inside linebacker, Arlington, Texas. Lamar HS).

The Red Raiders offered 2027 Arlington Lamar inside linebacker Braylon Williams also on Christmas Day. The offer was his second, as he also holds one from Nebraska. Per MaxPreps, he finished the season with 101 tackles, 18 TFL, and six pass breakups for the Vikings and was named first-team All-District.
