Ward will return for 2013

Texas Tech wide receiver Eric Ward has informed his coaches that he will return for his senior season, a source familiar with the situation told RedRaiderSports.com's Chris Level.
Ward, who graduated in three and a half years and has a young family to support, had been considering declaring for the 2013 NFL Draft.

The 22-year-old Ward caught 82 passes for 1,053 yards and 12 touchdowns in 12 games in 2012, marking his second-straight season with double-digit touchdown receptions.
Ward returns to a receiving corps that, aside from him, is short on experience and established players. Four of Tech's top eight receivers in 2012 exhausted their eligibility after the Texas Bowl, while two others missed most of the season with injuries.
Ward's return will give presumed starting quarterback Michael Brewer a clear-cut No. 1 receiver and first-year head coach Kliff Kingsbury an All-Big 12 caliber weapon on offense.
