Red Raider fans remember a handful of contests against the Aggies from the 2000s with a bit more fondness than others.

A prime game from the time period that Texas Tech fans certainly savor talking about is from October 4th, 2003, when senior quarterback BJ Symons and the offense ran roughshod over A&M.

In fact, Symons had arguably the best performance of his career that night at Jones Stadium, which certainly says something.

The Tech offense was off to the races from the word go, jumping all over the Aggie defense to make it a 17-0 contest by the end of the first quarter. After that, it was simply an exercise of domination.

17, 14, and 21 were the numbers put up by the Red Raiders in each of the first three quarters respectively, and the Reggie McNeal led Aggie offense couldn't keep up.

At the end of the day, Symons finished with an eye popping 505 passing yards and eight touchdowns, completing 73 percent of his passes while notching up a goose egg in the interception column. In fact, the QB's eight TD passes in a single game is a school record that still stands to this day.

By the time the beat down was over, Tech's record setting offense had another stellar day, and the Red Raiders moved to 4-1.
