Three-star OL high on Tech

Texas Tech has two offensive linemen committed in its 2017 class - four-star Jack Anderson of Frisco and three-star Tyler Castaneda of Round Rock - and plans to add a couple more before all is said and done. Fort Bend Travis three-star guard Will Farrar is among the Red Raiders top remaining junior o-line targets.

WHAT'S NEXT?:
In addition to Texas Tech, Farrar holds offers from Oklahoma State, Washington, West Virginia, Utah, Miami, Mississippi State, Cal, Arizona State, Houston and several others and is also talking to USC, UCLA, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Michigan State and could add more offers this spring. Of the schools that have offered the 6-foot-4, 301-pounder, he's looking the hardest at Texas Tech, Washington, Houston, Miami and Cal, he said. In February. Farrar is planning to visit Oregon, Oregon State and Washington and he wants to get the full experience of the recruiting process before he shuts things down.
IN HIS WORDS:
"I feel very comfortable around their program. I feel comfortable around coach Kingsbury and coach Hays. I'm very close friends with Travis Bruffy, Jack Anderson and Xavier Martin. We talk on almost a daily basis. I feel very comfortable with the people that are committed there and that are there right now. It just feels like home."
OUR REACTION:
The Red Raiders are off to a fantastic start with their 2017 class, especially
with Jack Anderson and Tyler Castaneda on the offensive line. Adding another
piece like Farrar to the group would help make it an extremely strong and
talented O-like class for Lee Hays, whose already put the foundation in place
for Tech to be very good in the trenches for years to come. Tech had Farrar
intrigued before Anderson's commitment, but now they clearly have his attention.
