Texas Tech downs New Mexico, 86-78

LUBBOCK, Texas - Alan Voskuil scored 28 points, including six field goals from beyond the arc, to lead Texas Tech past New Mexico 86-78 on Saturday.
The loss ended a four-game win streak for New Mexico and stopped a two-game skid for the Red Raiders.

Tech found its stride late in the first half and led most of the way after the break.
The Lobos didn't wilt, though, and battled back to within 73-69 on a 3-pointer by Chad Toppert with 3:34 remaining. Voskuil answered with a 3 and two free throws, only to see Toppert hit another from beyond the arc with 45 seconds left.
But a pair of free throws each by John Roberson and Mike Singletary sealed the win for the Red Raiders.
