Talented 2017 CB releases a Top 3

Landry-Walker (Louisiana) high school has a trio of talented junior prospects in Keytaon Thompson, Tevin Bush, and Michael Lee. The Texas Tech coaches not only showed interest, but went ahead and offered the trio earlier this year. However, the coach that recruited the state of Louisiana for the Red Raiders - Coach Kevin Curtis - is no longer with the program.

WHAT'S NEXT?:
Lee decided to delay his decision and see what happens with recruiting after the 2016 national signing day. The departure of Coach Curtis from Texas Tech and the coaching changes at Georgia caused the standout prospect to postpone a decision for now. The plan is to continue speaking with new programs and continue attending camps, combines, and any junior day visits that he can this off-season.
IN HIS WORDS:
"Most all of the coaches from my Top 3 were fired," Lee said. "I don't really know what I'm going to do now, but there is a lot of time left in the recruiting process. I'm going to wait things out and see what programs reach out after the 2016 signing day, but as of now, there aren't any new programs that have reached out this month."
OUR REACTION:
At 5-foot-10, 162-pounds, Lee is a standout prospect at the corner position. He already has very good technique at the position needed to cover in today's spread offense riddled game. I had the opportunity to watch Lee at both our Houston Rivals Camp and the Prime21 camp this past summer. Lee did great in one-on-one coverage and should continue to develop his skills with another season left at the high school level.
Rated a 5.7 three-star, Lee is the No. 36 corner in the nation and the No. 17 prospect on the Rivals.com Louisiana Postseason Top 25 for the 2017 class. Outside of his listed Top 3 programs, Lee also holds offers from Arizona State, Cal, Miami, Missouri, Purdue, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah. -Matt Clare
