WHAT'S NEXT

Now, with only one weekend left until National Signing Day next Wednesday, the Red Raiders will host the rest of the commits who couldn't make it in last weekend while those that were in town a week ago simply wait to sign.

At 6-foot-3, 196 pounds and a need for depth at the linebacker positions on defense, Stringer is a candidate to see some playing time in 2016. During his visit, he spent most of his time with four-star wide receiver commit T.J. Vasher and defensive tackle commit Nick McCann. Vasher was hosted by mid-year quarterback signee Jett Duffey and Stringer was hosted by mid-year linebacker signee Jonathan Picone.

IN HIS WORDS

On getting more acquainted with the rest of the commits:

“I got along with the whole recruiting class and we were all pretty much together the whole time. They were good guys, all of them, so I wasn’t disappointed in getting to meet any of them.”

On his visit overall:

“It was awesome. It was more than what I expected and they impressed me in every way. The coaching staff, the hosts, how they treated all of the recruits, it was a really good time for all of us. I had a really good visit and I’m just ready to get up to Tech and start playing some football.”

OUR REACTION

Like the rest of his teammates in Lubbock over the weekend, Stringer had a great time hanging out and really learning more about what's in store when he becomes a member of the program in join. Now, he waits for NSD like the rest of his classmates. - Will McKay
