and the talented sophomore has since picked up five more in the recent months. With his recruitment
already off to a fast start, Simpson has already decided to take unofficial visits to the schools recruiting him and recently
returned from a visit to Texas Tech.

WHAT'S NEXT?:
With the 6-foot-7, 320-pound recruit only being a sophomore at the moment, Simpson understands there are a lot of areas of his game that need improvement including his footwork and technique. He opens to strengthen these areas along with his already stellar run blocking skills throughout the offseason. Following his visit to Texas Tech, Simpson has plans to visit Oklahoma State this weekend and then TCU on Nov. 27. He has already visited Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Baylor this season.
IN HIS WORDS:
"It was great. Everybody was friendly. I met a lot of people and also got to talk to Le'Raven Clark. It was great to meet a guy of that caliber. It was a very good experience," he said. "My favorite part was the fans. The game atmosphere was really made by the fans. All kinds of people came up and talked to me and they were awesome during the game."
OUR REACTION:
In today's recruiting landscape, it's essential to start building relationships with prospects years ahead of them being seniors, and that's exactly what Texas Tech has done with Simpson. Getting a visit from the young
offensive lineman this early on is encouraging, and we'll see where things go from here. -Will McKay
