Fayette (Ala.) Fayette County cornerback Tevin Madison was one of Texas
Tech's earliest commits in the 2014 cycle but didn't visit the South Plains for
the first time until several months after his verbal pledge.

"Brian Dawkins."
WHAT IS THE BEST FOOTBALL TEAM THAT YOU'VE EVER SEEN, IN PERSON OR ON
TELEVISION?
"I've seen the '04 Auburn Tigers."

YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT FROM YOUR FOOTBALL CAREER?
"It'll probably be the catch that I got in the football semi-finals that put us
up a couple of touchdowns."
DID YOU EVER HAVE AN EMBARASSING MOMENT PLAYING FOOTBALL?
"Well really the only embarrassing moment is getting caught at the one once."
DO YOU HAVE A PREGAME RITUAL?
"I run the end zone from end to end a few times. That's really it."
WHEN DID YOU FIRST REALIZE THAT YOU HAD THE POTENTIAL TO BE A DIVISION I
FOOTBALL PLAYER?
"Well I've always dreamed of it, but really the first time I actually believed
it and thought I had the potential after the third game of the season my junior
year. My previous year I had a few good games but my first 3 games of my Junior
year I was playing consistent because I worked at it so then I kinda believed in
it."

"Cornerback."

"I don't really know. I don't think I will."
WHAT IS A PERSONAL STRENGTH THAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE AT TECH?
"My devotion to my team. My hard work and good work ethic."
WHAT IS ONE THING THAT YOU NEED TO WORK IN ORDER TO PLAY AT THE NEXT
LEVEL?
"I really just think the skill level is there. My size will be very important,
I'm just a little underweight right now. Really I just need to get my weight up
and work to learn the defense."
HOW OFTEN DO YOU WORK OUT AND WHAT IS YOUR ROUTINE?
"I workout four times a week. I run hills four times a week. I work out upper
body twice and lower body twice a week."

"I really just hang with my friends. Play a little chess. Not really much, but
that's what I do."

"Cheeseburgers."

"Oh no, not yet."

"After I committed, the whole Texas Tech coaching staff sent me letters. That
was pretty special."
WHAT WAS THE WORST PART ABOUT THE PROCESS?
"A coach, he 'K'ed me, I was talking to him and he said 'K' to me. It made me
pretty mad."
DID YOU MAKE FRIENDS WITH ANY CURRENT PLAYERS AT TECH OR INCOMING

"Reginald Davis, Joseph Clark and Cameron Batson."
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PART ABOUT YOUR OFFICIAL VISIT TO TECH?
"Playing laser tag. It was commits vs coaches."
WHAT SCHOOL WOULD YOU HAVE CHOSEN IF YOU HADN'T SIGNED WITH THE RED
RAIDERS?
"Tennessee. The University of Tennessee."
The future and goals:
WHAT NUMBER WOULD YOU LIKE TO WEAR AT TECH?
"I either want to wear No. 3 or 4. No. 4 is a family number. My brother and my
cousin have worn No. 4. No. 3, I have worn three for a long time. It's a very
prestigious number. Good things run in threes."
WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL GOAL FOR THIS SEASON?
"If I don't redshirt, I just want to get some playing time. Get some minutes to
experience the game and get out there on the field."
WHEN WILL YOU ARRIVE IN LUBBOCK FOR GOOD?
"June 1st."
