Humble (Texas) Summer Creek linebacker Dakota Allen is one of the
defensive bell-cows of Texas Tech's 2014 signing class. The 6-foot-2, 228-pound
standout chose the Red Raiders over offers from Kansas State, Oklahoma, TCU and
others.

"In little league football I used to play running back and there was a time I

"I didn't realize it until high school, but my family said they realized it
since I was little."

"I know the game very well and Ive been playing it for awhile. I feel like I

HOW OFTEN DO YOU WORK OUT AND WHAT IS YOUR ROUTINE?
"I workout Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. What I do each day I
work my upper body, lower body depending on the day. Then I work on speed and
agility."

"I like to go hunting, hang out with friends and family."

The future and goals:
WHAT NUMBER WOULD YOU LIKE TO WEAR AT TECH?
"No. 40 because that's my high school number. Ever since I wore it, people said
I wear it cause I knock people out. Like, too many of my hits will knock you out
like a 40 oz. (alcoholic beverage)."
WHAT IS YOUR PERSONAL GOAL FOR THIS SEASON?
"Gotta set the goals high so just hopefully come in a make a difference.
Hopefully win newcomer of the year."
