The Morales brothers -- Alfredo and Tony -- both play offensive line for the Red

Raiders. In the 2015 class, Texas Tech signed Breiden Fehoko -- the younger
brother of former Red Raider linebackers Sam and V.J. Fehoko. For 2017, the Red
Raiders have Tyler Castaneda committed -- the brother of offensive lineman
Robert Castaneda. Now Tech is hoping it can bring in yet another brother of a
current player on board -- Brannon Brown, a 2019 offensive lineman from
San Antonio O'Connor and the younger brother of Baylen Brown.
WHAT'S NEXT?:
The term here is younger brother, not little brother. Brannon is a 6-foot-4,
275-pound freshman, starting on varsity for a 6A school that is currently 4-2
and in the thick of the playoff hunt. Brown, who is already two inches taller
than his brother was as a high school freshman, is also the only freshman on
varsity for the Panthers. Being just a freshman, Brown has quite a ways to go
before signing day 2019, and right now he's keeping his options open. It helps
that the Red Raiders were the first to offer, but he and his family both want
him to have his own process. Aside from Tech, Brown knows TCU is interested in
him, but his recruitment has yet to really take off yet, but it most certainly
will sooner rather than later.
IN HIS WORDS:
"I was up there, I went on a visit up to Tech and saw a game. My brother plays
for them and after the game my brother told me to call the offensive line coach
up there and he offered me." "We spend a lot of time up there, having them as my
first offer was a very big deal."
OUR REACTION: Brown is only a freshman in high school, so it'll be even
years from now until the Red Raiders can legitimately start recruiting him.
However, it definitely says something that they would offer him this early in
the process, and getting a leg up with big brother still on campus can't hurt. -- Will McKay
