AARON DICKENS - TTU 49, TCU 52

Defense travels. Whether a team has a good defense or a bad defense, that side of the ball is typically far more consistent than its offensive peers. Texas Tech, as we all know, has a very bad defense.

For as sublime as Pat Mahomes and the Red Raider offense have been for much of this season, the team's defense has been by far the more consistent unit - to be clear, consistently bad - over the last seven games.

Mahomes and Co. will put on another marvelous performance, but the defense's inability to pressure Kenny Hill ultimately sinks Texas Tech.

WILL MCKAY - TTU 55, TCU 49

We're in for a barn burner in Fort Worth this weekend, folks. The Horned Frogs have given up north of 300 passing yards to SDSU and Kansas already this season, and Oklahoma did about whatever they wanted with a balanced attack.

TCU has a great pass rush, but that hasn't slowed down offenses with much of a pulse against them, and they certainly haven't seen a passing attack as dynamic and diverse as the Red Raiders'.

On the flip side, TCU will run it and pass it both, though their ground game has been more efficient this fall, especially in the redzone. Kenny Hill's been very hot-cold as a passer, tossing 13 TDs to 9 INTs so far while going through streaks of good decision making and poor decision making.

Essentially, whoever flinches more on offense loses. I think that'll be TCU, with Tech getting things back on track.

DREW KOHNLE - TTU 62, TCU 49

Texas Tech is entering a favorable road environment facing a very beatable TCU team.

If Mahomes keeps on his upward trajectory as he slowly works his way back from injury, the Red Raiders have horses on offense to outmatch the Horned Frogs. The scariest matchup is Texas Tech's offensive line against a very salty TCU defensive line that averages a shade under four sacks a game.

Another offensive back-and-forth ensues Saturday, but Tech forces some late turnovers to take the lead and hold it.
