wrapped up an incredible senior season. He finished his career at Keller with
239 tackles, 12 sacks, an interception and two field goal blocks. In his
four years as a Indian, he did virtually any and everything in his power to
power his defense. The two-star prospect will leave a long-lasting legacy at
Keller, but not just for his performance on the field.
WHAT'S NEXT?:
Technically, Miller doesn't have an actual "offseason," as he plans to jump
right into track, powerlifting and his preparation for Texas Tech. Miller is
most excited about getting back to work with his personal trainer, to whom he
attributes most of his recent success. He's even took it a step further, asking
defensive line coach Mike Smith for the Red Raiders' workout plan, so he can get
a head start on training.
IN HIS WORDS:
"I want the school and the next teams to remember me as a the kid I was on the
team and the player I was. My head coach calls me his Rottweiler. I'm always
making everyone's doing something right, I'm making sure the locker room is
cleaned up" said Miller. "When I was a sophomore, I went to Walmart and bought a
vacuum, because we had a vacuum that didn't work. I bought one that so we could
have one that worked and people actually kept that locker room clean. We always
just strived for greatness and I want people to know that I wasn't just a
football player that had great stats and a good season."
OUR REACTION: If you speak with Miller, it's very easy to get a feel for
his enthusiasm about Texas Tech football. He's all in with the Red Raiders, and
he could become one of their tent pole recruiters for other players in the 2016
class. -- Will McKay
