This weekend will be huge for the Texas Tech Red Raiders, as they will be hosting some recruits for their official visits. However, a trio of prospects already made it to the 806 for their officials. Lorena (TX) defensive tackle Jackson Blackwell was one of them, making his second trip to Lubbock in just a few months after visiting for a spring practice in March.

RedRaiderSports spoke with Jackson to recap the visit and see where the Red Raiders stand as he continues his official visits.

Texas Tech official visit: "The visit was a blast! My little brother Sloan Blackwell came along with me, and I got to meet up with and see everyone again, talk with Coach McGuire and Coach Fitch, and some players. The highlight was seeing the new facility, which is awesome and looks cool. It looks small on the outside but is huge inside. It's going to be an amazing place to play a game! I was not able to see that when I was down in March, but everything was great!”
