Houston (Texas) Cypress Ranch outside linebacker and Texas Tech commit

Brayden Stringer is more than solid in his commitment to the Red Raiders. The three
star commit said he's been thoroughly impressed with the team's progress and
hopes he can add an aggressive spirit to the defense. He also believes that the
defensive recruits in the class of 2016 are the final pieces to the program's
jigsaw puzzle.
WHAT'S NEXT?:
Stringer has been working on improving aspects of his game like footwork,
pursuit and play recognition. These improvements have taken him to another level
this season. At the moment, Cypress Ranch (3-1) is off to a hot start, and
Stringer sees tremendous promise. A little less than a year ago, the Mustangs
were runners-up in the state championship game.
The 6-foot-3, 196 pound defender's plan is to make the trip from Houston to
Lubbock for his official visit after he's fulfilled his obligation to his team
this winter.
IN HIS WORDS:
"I think the (Texas Tech) defense is coming around. They're getting better every
game, and starting to mature more." said Stringer. "I'm trying to make an early
impact. I play with a lot aggression, a lot emotion during my games. Sometimes I
can get a little crazy, but I think you have to be a little crazy to play
linebacker, because you're trying to take someone's head off. I think I'm going
to bring a little bit more emotion to that defense."
OUR REACTION:
Stringer is off to a great senior year, and Cy Ranch could very well make
another postseason run this fall if things keep rolling. As for Tech, Stringer
has seen the week-to-week progress, something that has certainly seemed to
reaffirm his already solid commitment to the Red Raiders. -- Will McKay
