University of Utah Utes

Instant updates on the UteZone.com Premium Recruiting Board

Kaelin Clay - Wide Receiver
Mt. San Antonio College
Recruiting Coach: Dennis Erickson and Aaron Roderick
5-foot-11, 175 pounds
Clay is a big time playmaker with pure speed. Last season, he caught 52 balls for 995 yards and 16 touchdowns. He was also one of the top JUCO kick returners in the nation, averaging 30.9 yards per return. Clay will participate in spring practice, and should be an instant impact player for the Utes.
Jackson Barton - Offensive Tackle
Brighton High School
Recruiting Coach: Kalani Sitake
6-foot-6, 290 pounds
Barton is the top rated player in the state of Utah and the 70th ranked player in the nation for good reason. He's got the prototypical size and athleticism for an elite left tackle. As an early enrollee, Barton will participate in spring football and compete for a starting tackle spot.
Allan Havili - Defensive Tackle
Stansbury High School
Recruiting Coach: Kalani Sitake
6-foot-4, 270 pounds
A big, powerful run stuffing defensive tackle, Havili is looking to continue the tradition of NFL-bound linemen from the Utes. Havili is an early enrollee that is already on campus and will participate in spring football. He'll need an impressive performance in camp to move up the depth chart, but his participation in spring football will give Havili a leg up.
Andre Godfrey - Safety
Miramar High School
Recruiting Coach: Morgan Scalley and Dennis Erickson
5-foot-10, 182 pounds
One of the top safety prospects in America, Godfrey received more than 20 offers before committing to the Utes. Godfrey is a hard hitting strong safety prospect with the knack for the big play, and has a legitimate chance to compete for early playing time when he arrives on campus this summer.
Kenric Young - Wide Receiver
Gainesville High School
Recruiting Coach: Kalani Sitake
6-foot-2, 180 pounds
Young is a promising receiver prospect out of Florida with outstanding speed and great hands. He held offers from Big-10, SEC, Big-12, and ACC programs before choosing the Utes. Young will be a strong addition to Utah's long-term depth in the receiver corps.
Raelon Singleton - Wide Receiver
Crosby High School
Recruiting Coach: Morgan Scalley
6-foot-5, 185 pounds
Raelon Singleton was a touchdown machine as a senior, scoring 16 touchdowns on only 33 catches. Singleton is a long, speedy receiver with terrific leaping ability that should give opposing defenses fits - especially in goalline situations. As Utah's lone commit out of Texas this year, he'll look to continue the tradition of successful Texans on the hill.
Tavaris Williams - Running Back
Fort White High School
Recruiting Coach: Kalani Sitake
5-foot-11, 185 pounds
Williams is arguably the most underrated member of Utah's signing class. He has terrific speed and is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. Williams will start his career at running back, but has the versatility to play cornerback if it means he'll see the field sooner.
Newberry High School
Recruiting Coach: Kalani Stiake
6-foot-0, 180 pounds
Seabrook is an explosive safety prospect with tremendous speed and athleticism. He's still raw as a football player, so he'll need to be coached up before he's ready to play on the big stage, but his potential is among the best in the class.
Roosevelt High School
Recruiting Coach: Morgan Scalley
6-foot-0, 165 pounds
A student of the game, Williams will play free safety for the Utes. He's super athletic, brings great ball-skills to the table, and excelled on both sides of the ball while playing for Theodore Roosevelt High School in California.
Donovan Isom - Quarterback
Destrehan High School
Recruiting Coach: Brian Johnson
6-foot-5, 235 pounds
Isom is one of the prized recruits in the 2014 class. The big quarterback has a terrific arm, great accuracy, and showed that he is a winner as a senior. Despite late attention from several SEC schools, Isom held true to his early commitment to Utah. He'll arrive on campus in June with an outside shot at finding playing time as a freshman.
Pasoni Tasini - Defensive End
Snow College
Recruiting Coach: Ilaisa Tuiaki and Kalani Sitake
6-foot-3, 270 pounds
Tasini comes to Utah as one of the better strongside defensive end prospects coming out of the JUCO ranks. He played both inside and outside for Snow College last season, so Tasini's versatility will allow Utah coaches to use him in many ways when he arrives on campus. Tasini originally signed with Utah as part of the class of 2012 before attending Snow.
Travonne Hobbs - Cornerback
Landry-Walker High School
Recruiting Coach: Brian Johnson, Morgan Scalley, and Sharrieff Shah
5-foot-10, 185 pounds
Hobbs is an outstanding cornerback prospect whose two star rating doesn't reflect his skill level nor his offer list. A tenacious defender that isn't afraid to mix it up alone against receivers, Hobbs is expected to compete right away for a potential spot on the two deep at corner for the Utes.
Casey Hughes - Cornerback
Legacy High School
Recruiting Coach: Sharrieff Shah
6-foot-1, 185 pounds
Hughes is another burner for the Utes at corner. He's arguably the fastest track athlete in the state of Nevada, and had an outstanding senior season playing running back. Hughes will stick to defense when he gets to Utah, and his athleticism gives the secondary a needed bump.
Lowell Lotulelei - Defensive Tackle
Bingham High School
Recruiting Coach - Kalani Sitake
6-foot-2, 290 pounds
Lotulelei originally committed to Utah as part of the class of 2013, but after sitting out of football for a year, has signed his LOI with the Utes and will join the team this fall. Lotulelei was a big national recruit coming out of the state of Utah last year, and should be an early contributor to the Utes.
Thor Katoa - Defensive End
Pine View High School
Recruiting Coach: Ilaisa Tuiaki and Kalani Sitake
6-foot-2, 250 pounds
Katoa is one of the hardest hitters to come through the state of Utah in years, but the Utes will not get to unleash he physical play for at least two years as he serves an LDS mission. Katoa made plays all over the field for Pine View in 2013 as he recorded 111 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
Pita Tonga - Defensive Line
Highland High School
Recruiting Coach: Ilaisa Tuiaki and Kalani Sitake
6-foot-2, 240 pounds
As part of a two-headed monster on Highland's defensive line, Tonga-a Utes legacy recruit-was easily one of the most dominant defensive linemen in Utah for 2013. Tonga finished his senior year with 50 tackles and seven sacks. Before enrolling, he will serve an LDS mission.
Kyle Christiansen - Defensive Tackle
Mountain Crest High School
Recruiting Coach: Ilaisa Tuiaki and Kalani Sitake
6-foot-4, 305 pounds
Christiansen-a massive defensive tackle who will first serve an LDS mission-caught Utah and other in-state schools' attention with a dominating performance at the 2013 All-Poly Camp. For his high school career he tallied 54 tackles and two sacks.
Amone Finau - Athlete
Kearns High School
Recruiting Coach: Ilaisa Tuiaki and Kalani Sitake
6-foot-2, 180 pounds
Atheltic, fast, and versatile, Finua will likely play linebacker for the Utes after he returns from an LDS mission. Finua was the first to commit for 2014 and has stuck to his word ever since. As a senior for Kearns High School he had 52 tackles and 2 interceptions.
Howard Pututau - Linebacker
Cottonwood High School
Recruiting Coach: Ilaisa Tuiaki and Kalani Sitake
6-foot-3, 230 pounds
A late bloomer, Pututua has the frame and skill-set to grow into a dominating defensive end for the Utes after an LDS mission. Pututau arrived onto the recruiting scene with a dominating senior year at Cottonwood as he registered 72 tackles, three sacks, and two interceptions.
