Aggies offer unique Dallas athlete

Most of the time, when people think of a prospect listed as an athlete, they think of someone who has played multiple skill positions on both sides of the ball in high school and could do so in college. They also probably play guard in basketball and maybe even run the hurdles or sprint events in track.

Dallas A. Maceo Smith athlete Jatashun Beachum fits that description as he has played quarterback and running back in his career, plays point guard on the hardwood and finds time to run the 100 meters in track. However, Beachum may be the most intriguging story in the 2010 class in the state of Texas because at his current weight of 275 to 280 pounds, nearly 100 pounds heavier than most of the people that typically fall into that category.

In addition, it's a very legitimate description of his talents or as Beachum put it, "I'm a skinny man in a big man's body."

The 6-foot-2, 280-pound Beachum has scholarship offers from Texas A&M and Oklahoma State, and is gaining heavy interest from Oklahoma, Nebraska, Wake Forest and TCU.
