Dawgs eye four Byrnes Rebels Friday night

The University of Georgia has one former Byrnes star on their roster and they would like to add a few more over the next few years. The Dawgs had both Mike Bobo and Jon Fabris in Duncan (S.C.) Friday night to watch at least four Rebel prospects. Three already have offers and one other could soon.

2009 wide receiver Ricco Sanders has an offer from the Dawgs amongst many other programs. Joining him with offers are 2010 running back Marcus Lattimore and junior defensive lineman Brandon Willis.

Another Byrnes star on the UGA radar is defensive end Corey Miller. Georgia has had in camps three times and they have now live as a junior, so UGA could be closer to presenting him with an offer.

Here are what the 2010 Byrnes stars had to say after seeing two UGA coaches on their sideline Friday night when they demolished Pahokee (Fla.) 38-12.

Lattimore: "I can really tell Georgia likes me a lot, especially Coach Bobo. Every time I talk with him, he asks me what do they do at Georgia, and I say, they run the football. It is funny."

"Coach Fabris and Coach Bobo were both there and I think I played alright. I ran for 175 yards against a very good Pahokee defense. They were fast and they always had six in the box against our spread. It was tough, but we got it done."

"I am getting letters from Georgia every day. Some are just the typed recruiting letters and some are hand-written. The hand-written letters just wish me luck in my games, tell me to keep being a leader, and things like that. I am getting a lot of interest from them and I can really tell they want me."
