Keys explains Tech commitment
Sunday marks the beginning of a new week, a week the Texas Tech football program really needed after losing one of its most recognizable players and potentially a beloved assistant coach.
Meet Josh Keys. He committed to the Red Raiders today and will be on campus in January.
He's a 6-foot-2, 180-pound safety from Gulf Coast Community College in Mississippi who will join a Tech unit that really could benefit from a mature player. Two Red Raider freshmen found themselves in the starting secondary during the 2013 regular season and starting free safety Tre' Porter will exhaust his eligibility after the bowl game.
