Banks visited Eugene this summer

Jalen Banks is one of an increasing number of Midwest recruits starting to look west and consider a future with the Oregon football program. The Ducks have offered the Illinois prospect and he even visited Eugene earlier this summer.

That's a pretty good sign that Banks is serious about the Ducks.

The Harvey (Ill.) Thornton Township safety could have waited until the fall and asked the school to take care of the bill. Many prospects use official visits just that way. But Banks wanted to see Oregon as soon as possible, so he made the trip west earlier this summer.
