Receiver claims three offers

Boston College is hitting Philadelphia (Pa.) William Penn Charter School hard this year. Everyone knows that Eagles are recruiting Mike McGlinchey, a top offensive tackle prospect, but BC has also offered a wide receiver from the school.

Somehow Daryl Worley has managed to largely sneak in under the radar so far. No longer.

The 6-foot, 185-pound wide receiver claims offers from Boston College, Rutgers and Tennessee. Schools are recruiting him as a receiver or a corner and he plays both positions in high school.

"My first offer was from Tennessee and that came in April of last year," Worley told "I got the offers from Boston College and Rutgers at the end of football season, around the beginning of winter."

Worley said he has been in contact with coaches from all of those schools but he hasn't visited any of them yet. In fact, he hasn't taken any college trips so far.

In addition to his three offers Worley has interest from Oregon, Pitt, Maryland and Miami.

"I think Tennessee saw me in action for track and Boston College and everyone else heard about me because of football," he explained.

Ryan Day had been recruiting Worley for the Eagles but the junior recruit is well aware that he's no longer with BC. Nonetheless, he's still interested in the Eagles.

"From what I hear it's a pretty good school and I would definitely consider them for one of my official visits," he said.

Worley noted that he wants to take all of his officials before he makes his decision. He said he would take those officials to Oregon, Miami, Tennessee and possibly Boston College, Pitt or Maryland if he had to make that decision today.

"I don't have any favorites," he concluded. "They're all on an equal scale."
